Spectrally and chromatographically pure cyanotoxin standards available:
Microcystins are a group of hepatotoxic cyclic heptapeptide toxins produced by cyanobacteria. The microcystins are used for example as reference substances (analytical standards) in water analyis.
The microcystin standards are dissolved in 100% methanol, and are ready to use for calibration of e.g., HPLC. The standards are distributed in sealed HPLC vials each containing 1 mL, which have been flushed with 100% N2, and the concentration is around 8-12 mg/L. The specific concentration of each lot number has been determined by spectrophotometer and is given on the Certificate of Analysis, which is enclosed in each shipment.
The cyanotoxin standards should be stored frozen, and thawed prior to use. The standards must be used immediately after breaking the seal.
Please complete the "End-User-Statement", print on your company letterhead and e-mail the signed version to DHI together with your order. This is needed for the Danish authorities to grant export permission.
Cyanotoxin standards are shipped under the Global National License (less sensitive products) issued by the Danish Business Authority, and may be subject to restrictions if re-exported.
