Several of our experts are participating in World Water Week

Organised by the Stockholm International Water Institute (SIWI), this year’s focuses on water for development.

From 23 to 28 August 2015, experts, practitioners, decision makers, and business innovators from around the world will come together to exchange ideas, foster new thinking, and develop solutions. Since its establishment in Stockholm, World Water Week has been one of the key global water events, providing an excellent venue for key policymakers and the business community to collaborate.

‘The global economy relies on the efficient management of water resources’, says Jørn Rasmussen, Vice President of Industry at DHI. ‘For decades we’ve developed and disseminated simulation and information technologies for a smarter water future. Through our pivotal role at the policy level developing Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM) principles and concepts, we’ve encouraged the efficient use of water resources’.

Experts from DHI will be available after each session to answer questions and to discuss the presentations.

This year, World Water Week celebrates its 25th anniversary – it started in 1991 as the Stockholm Water Symposium.

Event organiser SIWI promotes water wise solutions for sustainable development, specifically focusing on water governance, transboundary water management, climate change and water, the water-energy-food nexus, and water economics.
