We have produced a new mixture of pigments which are particularly suited to test how your HPLC is doing near the detection limit. It is important to know if the HPLC detects and scans small peaks properly. To be aware of correct identification and quantification of the small peaks is not only important when working in oligotrophic waters. Small peaks are encountered in all types of samples and it is important to get them determined correctly, especially if they are diagnostic pigments.
In our new mixture of pigments the concentrations reflect the concentrations usually encountered when analyzing pigments near the detection limit.
